Tony Willshire - Consultant

As a Huthwaite consultant, Tony's role is both to tailor solutions for his clients and to deliver the behaviour change for which they are looking. Prior to joining Huthwaite, Tony had experience of working in financial services as the Regional Training Manager for Abbey National, and also working in personnel management in the Transport sector. He had a long association with Huthwaite working for a client organisation before joining as a consultant in 1996.


Tony provides the full commercial suite of offerings that Huthwaite has available, and has also worked extensively with Huthwaite's management suite of skills sets. He enjoys running training programmes, but his real interest and experience is of leading the implementation of complex global solutions. He has managed some of Huthwaite's largest projects, handling programme design, pilots, customising materials, translation of materials, internal briefings and training, delivery in multiple languages, liaison and integration with co-partner suppliers, clarifying success factors and establishing KPIs, coaching and the important aspect of integrating training into real-world scenarios. He supports the client post training by providing evaluations and refresher courses. He also helps with the training of new Licensees.


Tony has extensive experience selling Huthwaite business across the world, selling projects as far afield as the Far East and Australia. He is sensitive to local cultures and tailors solutions with cultural differences and needs in mind. He has experience of training in many sectors including Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Advertising, and Healthcare. He works at all levels within the client organisation and enjoys the challenge of embedding behaviour changes that will actually work and improve bottom line results. His training style is relaxed but also lively and engaging whilst encouraging delegate participation. He is a believer in introducing new technology to enhance training methods and has been involved in implementations using Huthwaite's Virtual Training Campus. Tony is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel from The London School of Economics.
